The Tripp Ensemble – Fire in the Sky
- Fire in the Sky
- Take your Love
We had the pleasure of lead singer and composer Tobie and guitarist Sam’s company when they dropped into the studio on Monday and recorded a live session for us. You can see that session over on our YouTube channel now. It really is very good. The track they recorded for us, “Wake”, appears on their debut EP “Fire in the Sky”.
Phew! What a Week…
What a week it’s been so far!
We started our new format on Monday in style with The Tobie Tripp Experience dropping in for a live session and an interview where they talked about their upcoming EP. You can watch the session over on our brand new YouTube channel page listen to the interview in our podcast over at Mixcloud.
The band have also given us the go ahead to review their EP, “Fire in the Sky” on here, so look out for that bad boy tomorrow!
DJ Dad also dropped in for a surprise visit and he brought his camera. Those photos are up on our Facebook now, so go and have a look at them!
Outside of that, I’ve been working on some shiny new imaging for the show with a new voice over (her name is Charley, and you can find her blog over at charleydwy) as well as some visuals for you to enjoy.
See you on the other side!
Supergroup alert: Earl Sweatshirt, King Krule, Warpaint, and Jagwar Ma recently came together for an “epic 12-hour all-night recording session.” The supergroup is brought to you by Australian touring festival, Laneway. This is pretty exciting!
A bit of ‘Inhaler’ for your Foals Friday! Have a great weekend!
The Cure Announce New Album ‘4:14 Scream’
New Cure? Could be very exciting but 4:13 Dream wasn’t a classic. Maybe this could be better. Title suggests a return to the noisy post-punk Cure we all love? Let’s hope so!
GRUFF RHYS IS BACK!
Which is always a good thing. He’s returning in May with American Interiors - an album, a book, a film and an app. Here’s some interesting information about it from the press release:
"American Interiors is a unique project that firmly establishes Gruff Rhys as a captivating storyteller, blurring the boundaries and possibilities of songwriting, music, literature, film and technology to create a multisensory experience telling the incredible true story of John Evans. In 1792, John Evans, a twenty-two-year-old farmhand from Snowdonia, Wales, travelled to America to discover whether there was, as widely believed, a Welsh-speaking Native American tribe - The Madogwys - still walking the Great Plains."
Bring it on. CS
